MENTAL HEALTH DIVISION ANNOUNCES CHANGES AT THE HOLLYWOOD AND NORWALK COURTHOUSES
The Mental Health Division will implement the following changes to courtroom operations effective January 3, 2023:
- Judge Scott R. Herin will be assigned to Dept. A at the Norwalk Courthouse, 12720 Norwalk Blvd., Norwalk. Lanterman-Petris-Short (LPS) Conservatorship and Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT) case types will be relocated to Dept. A.
- Judge Lisa R. Jaskol will be assigned to Dept. 103 at the Hollywood Courthouse, 5925 Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles. Dept. 103 will convert to a competency and judicial commitment courtroom.
Documents for LPS and AOT cases may be presented for filing at the Norwalk Courthouse Clerk’s Office as of December 30, 2022. Filings may be faxed to (442) 247-3972.
Documents for competency matters may continue to be submitted for filing to the Hollywood Courthouse Clerk’s Office or faxed to (442) 247-3957.
Counsel and parties are instructed to indicate the assigned judicial officer and department on the first page of all documents submitted for filing to ensure proper departmental assignment, calendaring of hearings, and document routing.
