SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT: CYBERSECURITY INCIDENT 2024
On October 30, 2024, San Joaquin County Superior Court detected unusual activity on some systems, which we have determined to be the result of a cybersecurity incident. We promptly engaged leading third-party cybersecurity experts and continue working diligently alongside them to investigate this incident and securely restore our network to normal operations. Law enforcement has also been notified.
Upon discovering this incident, we took immediate and proactive steps to contain the event, which included isolating our systems from the internet. As a result, part of our network remains offline, which is currently impacting certain public services (see “Operational Update” below).
Cybersecurity is a responsibility we take seriously. We will continue working with third-party experts to investigate the full nature and scope of this incident and take steps to further enhance our systems as we move forward.
We regret any concern or inconvenience, and we will continue to provide further updates as appropriate. We thank our community for your support and understanding at this time.
